Fred Rasmussen was born on June 28, 1880 near Copenhagen Denmark. His parents were Peter Rasmussen and Sophia A. Rasmussen. He had a younger brother named Andrew P Rasmussen. The family came to the United State in 1892 probably with Hans Rasmussen or earlier with Ole Jensen, Kirsten's 1/2 brother. They settled in Leigh, Nebraska. In the 1900 census they are found living in Leigh Village, Colfax County, Stanton Precinct, Nebraska. He died December 3, 1954 at age 74 years and was buried at 100F Cemetery at Mount Vernon, Washington. Death cause was myocardia - failure due to z ascites etal for two years interval between onset and death.
