Facts and Events
Fred was a cadet at West Point from June 21, 1893 to June 11, 1897 and was promoted to Add. Second Lt. of the Infantry , 16th Infantry, June 11, 1897. He served with the
regiment at Fort Monroe, Virginia. April to June 1898 at the Presidio, San Francisco, California to July 20, 1898. Whe he sailed with his battery for Manila, arriving thre August 22, 1898. He served in the Phillpines against Phillipino insurgents until he died June 6, 1899 by
his own hand, at Manila , Phillipine Islands.

Second Lieut. of Infantry, 16ht Infantry June 11, 1897) Served: With regiment at Fort Sherodan, Ill, Oct. 1897 to Feb. 1898 (Second Lieut of Artillery, 6th Artillery, March 8, 1898) with battery at Fort Monroe, VA April to June 1898; at the Presidio, San Francisco, CAl, to July 20, 1898 when he sailedd with his battery for Manila, arriving thre Aug. 22, 1898 and served in the Phillipines against the Fillipino insurgents until he Died June 6, 2899, by his own hand, at Manila, P.I. age 28
Acccording to his brother and his cousins he was a very smart young man and since this was a foreign country anything could have occured so they believer that his death wasn't suicide as it was reported.
