Johnson Cemetery is located in Lincoln County, WV, on Upper Mud River Road, approximately 3.5 miles from the junction of Upper Mud River Road and WV Rt. 3. This cemetery is located on what used to be the Elisha Johnson farm in the early part of the 1900's. To get to the cemetery, you have to cross over the Mud River via a steel one-lane bridge located on the left side of the highway. Proceed to the top of the hill by way of the dirt road to the cemetery that is located on private land. There were numerous unmarked graves and some with broken tombstones. Some of the tombstones were not readable.Transcribed by Dottie Porter [email protected]
