Oregon marriage database lists Frank Judson Rogers from Multnomah being married Aug. 3 1918. Bessie is listed as Bessie L Nilroy. Daughter Marjorie Aileene states; Name was Francis Judson Rogers and that he had a sister.

(Research):Lived in Corvallis, Benton, Oregon. Worked in the Shipyard. (G.M. Standifer?) Was a cook in the Army 1914-1918 They had a friend Mrs. Exley (Scientology) who brought Marjorie home from the hospital and didn't believe in formula etc. and immediatly started feeding egg and milk etc. Use to watch Marjorie while Bessie was at work. Mrs. Exley stated that she had seen Francis in California. Mrs. Exley had a son Kenneth. Told that while Bessie was visiting Francis in prison Bessie stated she was going to take Marjorie away to which he stated 'I'd like to see you try', she did. Went to prison for Forgery . Forged cheques against the account of wife Bessie Milroy Rogers. They were suppose to have met in the US while Bessie was working in Western Canada. Source: Marjorie Heffernan nee: Rogers

Located WWI Draft card for Frank Judson Rogers b. 31 Mar 1895 in Oil City, Venango County, Penssylvania. Married with a 13 month old son. Draft card filled out in Sugarcreek, Venango County, PA. Found a woman Pearl Rogers (nee: Melat) and son Richard Rogers living with her father in Sugarcreek, PA. Son's age is a match to the month with the one on the registration card. Also, I have found that the physical description of the Oregon Frank J Rogers tattoos lists two names on his right forearm, Pearl and Richard. These are the names of the two living with the Melat family.


For second marriage listed name as J Francis Rogers, married in Linn Co., Oregon 28 Feb 1920.


Thur. April 6 2006 Contacted by phone Mr James Rogers of Shingle Springs, California, son of Frank Judson Rogers and half brother to Marjorie A. Heffernan (Rogers).

Frank Judson Rogers was born 31 Mar 1895 in Oil City, PA.His grandmother raised him name Fisher. Grandparents were Peter and Lizzie Fisher. Had a younger and older brother. Died about 1952 near Chicago.Ran a florist business in the 1930's and left Jessie to run it when he left the family. At one time sang on the radio in Seattle , Washington.Was a cook in the army and had lots of tatoos (not proud of them I understand). Story of riding the dynamite wagons when young. Father was Harry L. Rogers. Frank did have T.B.
