OBITUARY (Syracuse Post-Standard May 31, 1985) FRANK J. MCARDELL Frank J. McArdell, 93, of Seventh North St., Liverpool, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. McArdell was a life resident of Liverpool. He was a retired farmer and owned a farm on Seventh North Street for many years. He was a craftsman of wollow wooven baskets, a traditional Liverpool area industry at the turn of the century. Mr. McArdell was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church, Liverpool, and a former member of the Onondaga County Vegetable Growers Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Thompson; six daughters, Margaret Klein of Westvale, Genevieve Dixon of Cicero, Marie Rowe of Matty- dale, Florence Orman of Rochester and Grace Corbin and Kay Mussi, both of Liverpool; two sons, Bud of Liverpool and Leo of Baldwinsville; 40 grandchildren 33 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 8:15 a.m. Monday at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool, and at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funerl home. Contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Church. |
