Frank B. Laughner, 87, North Palm Beach Fla, formerly of Lebanon, died Jan. 4, at Hospice of Palm Beach County, Florida. Mr. Laughner, a co-owner of L. Strauss & Company in Indianapolis, retired in 1972. In Florida, Mr. Laughner was a manager for the mens clothing store, Maus-Hoffman, in Bal Harbour for ten years until 1987. He was a member of The American Legion, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and a former member of the Ulen Country Club. He was a Whitestown High School graduate. Mr. Laughner served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisoner of war. He was awarded the Purple Heart. In 1972, he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Then in 1995, he moved to North Palm Beach where he had since resided. He was the widower of Alfreda E. (Galvin) Laughner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407. In Florida, visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2003, at the Thomas H. Price Funeral Home in North Palm Beach Florida. Local funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Jan. 11 at Myers Chapel of Memories in Lebanon, with calling from 10 a.m. Internment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana. He is survived by: one son, Christopher Laughner.
