After a long illness there passed away at his home on the 7th concession of Mara another member of the pioneer family in the person of Frank Heitzner, in his seventy-eighth year. Deceased was raised in Mara township but when a young man went to the West Coast where he lived for six years in Seattle, Washington. Upon his return he bought a farm on the 10th concession of Mara where he resided for 30 years. He married Elizabeth A nn Hussey at Mt. St. Louis, who predeceased him nine years ago. To them was born a family of nine children, six of whom survive: Ignatius and Gene on the present home, Mrs David Pettyplace, Amherstburg, Ontario; Mrs. Frank Kerins[sic], Toronto; Mrs. Gordon McDonnell, Brechin and D'Arcy of Warminster. In 1926 the deceased bought the John McCorkell farm on which he resided till his death.
The funeral took place on Friday morning, July 3, to St. Andrew's church, Brechin.
Besides his family he is survived by three sisters: Mrs. John Quinlan, Markam, Mrs. Thos. Walsh and Mrs. Frank Lawler of Warminster, and six grandchildren.
