   27 May 1948 - Frank Frohnapfel, former local grocer, who knew Cambridge City when Creitz park was a swamp, is here on a visit, from California - and if he didn't have a son out there, Frank, Jr., he would probably be a local resident in our opinion. He always did and always will like Cambridge City. When he left here, he had $13,000 coming to him on grocery bills, just like the country doctor, but he always did and always will make his way. So don't cross the street when you see him coming. Buckskin Ben Stalker is one man who paid him in full. Think that over, you deliquents. And at least greet him with a smile.

   Frank Frohnapfel, 4440 Burns Ave., Apt. 2, Los Angeles 29, California, was admitted to the Los Angeles County hospital, Jan. 7, according to information received by Ed H. Pitman, 662 N. Main St., Rushville, Ind., who informed the Traveler. Mr. Pitman and Frohnapfel are long time friends, both having lived in Cambridge City. Mr. Frohnapfel are long time friends, both having lived in Cambridge City. Mr. Frohnapfel operated a grocery store here for many years before going to California. Frohnapfel had been using a wheelchair for some time to get around before his last illness. At the hospital Frank is reported in fair spirits and always anxious to hear from Cambridge City friends.
   
   24 Jan 1963, p 1 - Frank T. Frohnapfel, 93 years old, died Saturday morning in Los Angeles, California. He operated a grocery here for many years before leaving in 1922. He had resided in California since that time. [see note] Mr. Frohnapfel graduated with the Cambridge City high school class of 1887. He was the last male survivor of that class. He was a member of the ? Businessmen's association, formed here in 1907, to promote a Homecoming and Fair that year. Of the 21 men forming this group, Frohnapfel was the last. Roy Copeland, of here, also a member of the group died last fall. Mr. Frohnapfel's only survivor is a great-nephew. Frohnapfel's son, Frank, died several years ago. Requiem high mass was held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Catholic church here. Rev. John Herold officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Rosary was at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fisher Mortuary, here.
