Age 54, married 30 years, merchant in or owns furniture store; rents house; born IL; says parents born in NY! 1920 census: living in Boise, Idaho on North 17th Street; age 65; still living with Enzie, 4 children and a grandchild; laborer on a ranch [CU-XX 21]. 1930 census: uses name of Frank R., head, $2000 = value of home; home is owned, has radio, age 75, married at age 24, can read/write; married 24 years; works as repairman in furniture busines; living with wife and 3 sons plus a granddaughter Lola Curtis, age 17, single; Boise, Ada Co., ID, roll 395, ED 19, page 7B [CU-XX 15]. Barbara Beardsley, Roanoke, VA put him in FamilySearch Ancestral file v4.19. MC [ CU-IL 20; Warren Co., no ID] was written by nearly illiterate person- many mispellings: lived in Alexis, IL; painter; POB, age = 25; name of parents of him and spouse; married at Alexis. A Frank R. Curtis was a brakeman for the CRI & P Ry and lived at 2700 5 1/2 Ave in RI in 1895 ; still a brakeman in 1899-1900 but living at 1920-9th Ave; no mention of a spouse [CU-XX 27; Polk Directories for RI]. Mine? A Frank R Curtis served in the Army during the Spanish-Am war, but records show his middle name is Russell and he is from NY [CU-XX 31]. DC [Idaho State File #74332]: DOD, DOB, POB; died in St. Lukes Hospital in Boise; lived at 2001 N. 17th St; a retired cabinet maker; father is Barber born IN, mother is Kain (sic) born unknown; died of avuncular fibrillation of 3 months with contributions of acute cardiac dilatation and pulmonary edema of 5 days; lived in Boise 20 years; informant was wife Enzie.
