Uncle Hacky chewed tobacco and coughed a lot. He was out in his garden and he cut the palm of his hand with a scythe. He spit chewing tobacco in his hand. His sister (Bertha) gave him a needle and thread to sew himself. Uncle Hacky lived in Aunt Bertha's house with Bertha and Salim. He was a carpenter. He never married. (According to Arnie and Ed Reisland) Ruth (Hasse) Tisdall said, "He raised homing pigeons in the backyard. Uncle Frank would hand Ella and Tina home brewed beer out of the window for them to drink.
