BIOGRAPHY: Notes from family history provided by Sandy Holmes 1/3/07 Frank Helfenstein Bryant left home at the age of 17 to work for a milk company. He joined the National Guard at 19 and the Navy at age 20 in 1903. He served on the North Sea Minesweeper, USS Blackhawk on August 13, 1918. Frank was briefly married to Ethel Kennedy, marriage was annulled after Frank came home from a tour at sea and found her in bed with another man. Alternate reason for annulled, she was to young to be married.

Frank owned and operated Bryant Battery Service, located a 1720 Centre St. West Roxbury. Phone was Parkway 0382.
