    Grand Coteau, La., Oct. 29--Frank G. Brinkhaus died suddenly at his residence here Wednesday morning. He was born August 15, 1855. He was village Treasurer here for several years, a Knight of Columbus and an active member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He leaves his wife, his mother-in-law, Mr. T. Hebert, three brothers, Brother Joseph Brinkhaus, S. J. of St. Charles College; William Brinkhaus of Grand Coteau, and August Brinkhaus of Sunset; one sister, Sister Louise Brinkhaus ad St. Michael's Convent, Convent, La. and several nephews and neices.
    The funerals services were held Thursday morning at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, before a large number of relatives and friends. All the stores closed during the services, Rev. J. P. Moore, S. J., officiated, assisted by Rev. M. A. Grace, S. J., and Rev. Robert Brooks, S. J. Several of the college alter boys carried torches in the procession. A beautiful sermon was preached by Father Moore, S. J. The paul bearers were; H. F. Richard, Mentor Richard, Luke Richard, James Richard, J. J. Barry and E. V. Barry.
