Francisco V. ESTEVEZ(1937 - 2015)
ESTEVEZ, Francisco V. "Frank" Age 77 passed away at Kettering Medical Center on Tuesday June 9, 2015. Frank was born in Paget, Bermuda on July 21, 1937 to Francisco and Mary Anne (nee Phelan) Estevez. He grew up in Dayton, attended Chaminade High School and graduated from Stivers High School in 1956. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1959. Frank graduated from Wright State University with a B.S. and Masters in Education and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. He began his career teaching social studies at Colonel White High School. In 1973 he moved to Kettering Fairmont High School where he taught social studies and was a guidance counselor until he retired. He loved sports and was a football official with the OHSAA for over twenty years. In 1995 Frank realized a lifelong dream of returning to his birthplace to teach and counsel students at Mount Saint Agnes Academy in Hamilton, Bermuda until 1998. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Delores, brothers Manuel, Miguel, Conrad, Alfonso, Carlos and sister -in-law Roberta. He is survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Rosalee (nee Poliquin), daughter; Maryanne, sons; Francisco, Alex (Sandy), and Paul. Granddaughters; Jessica, Carmen, Rosemary, Emily, Alison, Frances and Alexis. Grandsons; Josh, Joey and Jake. Sister; Carmen (Angel), Brothers; Ramon (Janet), John (Barbara), Joe (Constance) and many nieces and nephews in Ohio, Michigan, and California, as well as relatives in lreland and Spain. A memorial mass will be cel ebrated in Dayton on Monday: June 15th' at 10:00A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 272 Bainbridge St. with interment at the Dayton National Cemetery.
