Notes

Francis Smith married Nancy Crowe in Dandridge, TN in 1865. He was in the 9th Tennessee US Cavalry which rode with the 13th and on the 1890 Veterans census states he was with the 13th. He was born in 1843 and died in 1903 and is buried in Bishops Hollow Road in a family cemetery.
Their children were: Henry, Daniel, Ed, Robert, Grant, George, Phoebie, Rutha, Julia.
