Wells, Surry Co NC County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions 1804-1804, vol III (1992): p. 62, Tues 11 May 1802 Admin on estate of Francis Poindexter dec'd granted to Jane Poindexter, widow & relict who entered into bond with Orman Kimbrough security in the amount of 3000#. Admr qualified according to law and ordered that letters issue. Ordered that an order of sale issue. Capt Francis Poindexter is buried in the Clingman Cemetery, Shallow Ford Crossing, Yadkin Co [now Forsyth] NC along with his wife Jane and her first husband Robert Lanier.
