"The marriage of Francis Lindsley is recorded on page 170 of the first volume of Branford Town Records, in the following words:-'ffrancis Linsly, the one partie, and Susana Cullpeper, married June 24/1655'. They were both living in 1691 when they made a quit claim deed to the land in Branford, but must have died before 1704, as the deeds of the distribution of his estate made no provision for his wife's support."
