- Will of Francis Hodges..I lend to my beloved wife, Mary Hodges, the whole of my estate..until her eldest child comes to the age of twenty one years..
- that each of my children, Albert Hodges, Verminett Hodges, Ann Hodges, Amanda Hodges and Calvin Hodges..
- my wife shall be at liberty to remove the whole of my property to the state of Kentucky without forfeiting her right of dower..
- my houses and lots in the town of Stanardsville to be sold..
- appoint my beloved wife, Mary Hodges, executrix and my worthy friend, William Wayt, executor..
