John Boxwell (b.31may1838, Butlerstown, Wexford, d. 5may1891, Dacca, India) was son of Francis Boxwell (b. 18jul1811, Butlerstown, d. 15apr1887 there) and Martha Carey (b.1814 Clonmel, Tipperary, d.2jun1876, Butlerstown) - http://www.familyorigins.com/users/b/l/o/David-A-Blocher-WA/FAMO2-0001/d72527.htm. Francis was a physician living in Borris, County Carlow. He delivered Arthur Kavanagh of Borris, the man who was born without arms or legs, the subject of a book entitled "The Remarkable Mr. Kavanagh." It was Francis who plays an influential part in rearing the handicapped boy (W. Prokasy, gencircles).
