Francis Christopher Bland, of Derryquinn Castle, was a near kinsman of Nathanial Bland. He married in 1797, Lucy third daughter of Arthur Herbert, of Brusterfield, his second wife was Barbara Ash (website). DEATH OF MRS. LUCY BLAND.-Intelligence has this day been received of the death of Mrs. Lucy Bland, relict of the late Francis Christopher Bland, Esq., of Derryquin Castle, at the advanced age of eighty-one years. Mrs. Bland, who had been very weak for some months past, died at the residence of her son-in-law, Thomas Fuller, Esq., Sneem. The deceased lady survived her sister, Mrs. Hilliard, only a few days.-Kerry Post, may1862.
