Ruckersville, VA., April 10 - Mr Frank Barksdale, of Stanardsville, after eating breakfast Sunday morning, apparently as well as he ever was, went to his room, put on his best clothes, walked through the sitting-room and spoke to Mrs. Dr. Davis, who was talking to his only surviving child, Mrs. Henry Runkle, kept on to the barn lot, and in ten minutes was found dead. He had fallen on his face and still held a cornstalk in his hand, which he had been whittling. He was about sixty-eight years old, and had never been sick in his life, except when he had the grip.
