Pg 11 Jane Potter, in her will written in the 9th month (Nov) 1703, and probated 5th month (July) 1704, mentions her friend Frances Gum. “Jane Potter bequeaths to son (name not given) to William Former and Frances Gum, my cozens, which liveth at Duck Creek; to John Davis’s son John; Richard Dobson, Executor. Four versions of her will were found in different sources researched. One states, “my son, Abraham, to have the mill when eighteen”. (55 Turner, Papers in PA State Historical Society (not C.H.B. Turner)). In another, Frances Gum is to care for Abraham Potter until he is of age, and one indicates that Abraham was about 14 years old when his mother died. One version calls Frances, her friend, and bequeaths her, her clothing. (The word friend has been used when uncles, nephews, and other close relatives were meant).Pg 14 (Relationship?)

Pg 11 Abraham Potter left a will in Sussex County dated 27 Mar 1742, naming his wife, Mary; sons Abraham, John and Joshua and a daughter, Jane Russell. Pg 14 (Relationship?)
