Frances V. Lauchner Age 83, a lifelong resident of Gwinhurst, DE, left her home on earth to be with God December 13, 2001. She was a loving mo-ther, a devoted friend and like her patron, St. Francis of Assisi, a lover and protector of all God's creatures. She was predeceased by 3 husbands, Frank L. McClelland, W. Davis Martine and Melvin R. Lauchner. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Patricia M. Beckman and her husband, Ted of South Glastonbury, CT and Deborah M. Bealer and her husband, Barry of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She leaves 2 grandsons, David Beckman of NH and Mark Beckman of CO and their spouses; and 3 granddaughters, Melinda Odell of CT and Stephine Townsend of SC and their spouses and Courtney Bealer, also of SC. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Leigh Ann and Hailey Odell and Ryan Beckman and Robbie Townsend. Fran's extended family consists of 3 sons of Davis Martine; Wayne, Terry and Bob and their families; and 3 daughters of Melvin Lauchner; Joyce Cloud, Diane Cook and Dorothy Bradley and their families. She also leaves behind her loving neighborhood friends who gave her constant companionship and support. Family and friends may call at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE from 6-8 pm on Sunday evening, December 16 and from 9:30-10:30 am on Monday morning, December 17. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 am Monday at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, followed by entombment in the Queen of the Apostle Crypt in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington, DE.
