    DIES IN NEW YORK.
Former Lafayette High School Boy's Mother Gets Sad News.
Forest Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Hall, of South Fifteenth street, died this morning in Bellevue hospital, New York City. He went to new York only two weeks ago to take a position in the Great Northern hotel in that city. Monday his mother received cards from him saying he was at work. Yesterday she received a telegram from the Bellevue hospital authorities saying her son was critically ill and to-day the message came announcing his death. It was a terrible shock to the family, as the lad was in perfect health when he left here. On a postal card received Monday he said he was not feeling well, fearing he had a touch of tonsilitis. This is all that is known concerning the nature of his ailment. Young Hall would have been 21 years old next Friday. He was born in Jay county and had lived here with his parents for eight years. His father is a traveling man and is somewhere in the west. His whereabouts not yet being ascertained. The boy attended Washington school and then went to high school. He was in his second year there when he discontinued his studies. He had many friends in the city and the news of his death will cause much grief. He is survived by his father and mother and four brothers: Harold, of Indianapolis, Kenneth, Fred and Darl, of Lafayette.
