  2.   Floyd Charles Trusty, 78, of Waubun, MN, died Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Mahnomen Health Center-Hospital.

Floyd was born February 5, 1929, in Kidder County, ND, the son of Amos and Anna (Draton) Trusty. He grew up and attended school in Tuttle, ND. On November 13, 1949, Floyd was united in marriage to Lillian Martin. The couple made their home in several towns in North Dakota before settling in the Waubun, MN, area in 1967. While living in the Waubun area, Floyd worked numerous jobs while he continued to farm and raise dairy cattle. Over the years, this included driving school bus and milk truck, bartending, working at the sawmill, cheese plant and being a carpenter. In the early 1990's Floyd retired and he and Lillian moved into Waubun, where they have resided since.

Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching wrestling and good old westerns. He also liked to make homemade sausage and headcheese. Floyd treasured the times spent with family, especially his beautiful wife and grandchildren. He looked forward to every visit and loved to talk with anyone who would listen, even though it was sometimes hard to get a word in edge wise.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lillian, of Waubun; six sons: Jerry, of Detroit Lakes, MN, Allen (Angie), of Sulphur, OK, Ronald, of Waubun, Raymond, of Pelican Rapids, MN, Steven (Theresa), Waubun, and Darryl (Carmen), of Ottertail, MN; three daughters: Peggy Morris, of Wing, ND, Susan (Arnie) Koski, of Detroit Lakes, and Janice (Leonard) Steichen, of Mahnomen; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Gale Trusty, of St. Cloud, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; three sisters; one daughter-in-law, Sue Trusty; and one son-in-law, Keith Morris.
