Wednesday, January 28, 2004 3:00 AM est - News Herald Floyd W. "Moby" Dick Funeral services for Floyd W. "Moby" Dick, 81, of Madison, will be 8 p.m. Friday at The Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 26 River St., in Madison. Dr. Dick died Jan. 27, 2004, in Madison. Born Dec. 25, 1922, in Grantsville, W. Va., he had lived in Madison since 1956. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific. Dr. Dick moved to Madison after his internship at Akron General Hospital, working as an area general practitioner all of his life, except for the time he worked for the Veteran's Administration in Cleveland and Walla Walla, Wash. Survivors are his wife Ralphine (Maynard) Dick, whom he married June 14, 1952; daughters, Barb (Lewis) Smith of Geneva, Carol (William) Laub of Smithfield, Utah, and Diane (Rick) Ware of Frametown, W. Va.; grandchildren, Katy, Michael, Sarah, Lisa, Andrew, Wesley, Kyle, Molly, Kassie, and Emily; sister, Marie DiCowden of Miami, Fla.; and brother, Thomas Dick of Brecksville. His parents, Mary (Jackson) and Floyd W. Dick; grandson, Tyler Scott Ware; and sisters, Alice Lee and Lee Hurley, are deceased. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. David Reed of Chapel United Methodist Church will officiate the services. The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor 44060.
