Investigation of his heroic feat of leaping into the Barge Canal channel Thursday showed Case saved two of his sons instead of one. Floyd Case Jr. 19, went to the rescue of his brother, Donovan, aged 9, when the latter slipped into deep water and the father, fully attired, dove into the water and went to their assistance. A boat was put into service and Case lifted his sons to safety, well exhausted by his efforts.
