"Exeter - Miss Florence E. Wardwell, 85, died yesterday at her home, 20 Prospect St., after a long illness. She was a native of Otisfield, Maine, born March 3, 1884, the daughter of the late Caleb and Vesta (Watson) Wardwell, and lived in East Kingston for 31 years, where she was a farmer and beekeeper. She also operated a roadside vegetable stand. She had resided in Exeter for the past 12 years and was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by several cousins." -Portsmouth (New Hampshire) Herald 03 November 1969
