    Florence Jenkins, 94, of Amity, died Tuesday, November 9, 2004, in Presbyterian Senior Care Southmont, Washington.

    She was born February 18, 1910, in Washington, a daughter of George and Bessie Courtwright Thomas.

    Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church in Ten Mile.

    She enjoyed playing bingo, quilt work, cooking and baking and working on her family farm.

    Her first husband, Orpha Spease, and second husband, Clarence L. Jenkins, are deceased.

    Surviving are a daughter, Nora I. Edgar of Washington; four sons, Clarence L., Glenn, Merle and Jim Jenkins, all of Amity; four sisters, Wilda Leichliter and Freda Tennant, both of Waynesburg, Erma Phillips of Rochester and Emma Jean Dalrymple of New Martinsville, W.Va.; 34 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 13 greatgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Deceased are four brothers, Glenn, Wayne, Paul and Donald Thomas; two half brothers, Clarence and Edward Roupe; and three sisters, Nora Loar, Mary Thomas and Ruth Strawn.

    Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, with the Rev. Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Amity.
