Florence E. Kamer, 76, Topeka, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1992 at a Topeka nursing home.
Mrs. Kamer owned and operated the Florence Kamer Second Hand Store from 1957 to 1966 on Kansas Avenue.
She was born Feb. 22, 1916 in Mayetta, the daughter of Samuel T. and Emma Jane Yowell Richardson.
Mrs. Kamer was a member of the Catholic Church of the Assumption and Take Off Pounds Sensibly. She worked for the Kansas Election Board for 20 years.
She was married to Albert A. Kamer on Sept. 16, 1936 in the Catholic Church of the Assumption in Topeka. He died March 5, 1975.
Survivors include two daughters, Joann Tompkins, Burlingame, and Diana Wiechen, Topeka; a son, Albert E. Kamer, Topeka; a brother, Sam Richardson, Overbrook; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. in the Catholic Church of the Assumption. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Kamer will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at Brennan Funeral Home where a parish rosary will
be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday.
