    Mrs. Josephine Daron

    Mrs. Josephine Daron, 86, of Welcome Home for the Blind, Grand Rapids and formerly of 1003 E. Ludington Ave. died at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hospital of Mason County where she had been a patient one day.
    Josephine Heidley was born Jan. 16, 1895 in Bear Lake and was married Nov. 11, 1917 in Bear Lake to Edmund W. Daron. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1971.
    Mrs. Daron came to Ludington from Bear Lake in 1919 and had resided at the Welcome Home for the Blind in Grand Rapids since 1975. She was affiliated with the Ludington Community Church. She was a member of the Auxiliary to Mason County Barracks No. 405, WWI Veterans and had formerly been active in both Foster and Pere Marquette PTA's.
    She was a graduate of Bear Lake High School and attended Eastern Michigan University at Ypsilanti. She had taught school at Belding for a short period of time and later worked as a clerk for the former Samuelson Service Station for a number of years.
    Surviving are two sons, Richard W. Daron of Ludington and Robert F. Daron of Campbell, Calif., eight grandchildren, three great-grandsons, one niece and one nephew.
    She was also preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence (Chase) Heidley and a brother, Karl Heidley.

    The funeral for Mrs. Daron will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Alexander-Rye Funeral Home with the Rev. William Collins officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
    The family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorials to either the Welcome Home for the Blind or the Ludington Community Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
