Asheville Citizen-Times (NC) - January 30, 2000 Deceased Name: FLORENCE MADLYN STALDER WAYNESVILLE - Florence Madlyn French Stalder, 83, of 342 Hall Top Road, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Aiken, Pa., and had been a summer resident of of Haywood County for 20 years and a permanent resident for the last four years.

She was the daughter of the late Frank B. and Olive Lamb French. She was a retired Registered Nurse and Medicare Supervisor with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida. She was a member of Canton Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth French, and a brother, Robert French. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis C. Stalder, who died Jan. 16, 1996.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Hall of Lees Summit, Mo. sister-in-law, Alice French of Bradford, Pa. two nieces, Mary Joy Gustafson of Gerry, N.Y., Patricia Richardson of Lees Summit, Mo. and her brother-in-law and his wife, William F. and Frances Stalder of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
