A biography of Ezra Thomas Seaver was included in the book "Encyclopedia, Vermont Biography: A Series of Authentic Biographical Sketches of the Representative Men of Vermont and Other States: 1912," by Prentiss C. Dodge, Ullery Publishing Company, Burlington, Vt, 1912 (page 308). It reads:

"SEAVER, Ezra Thomas, North Troy, Merchant. Born Albany, Jan 12, 1858; son of Gilman Warren and Eliza (Rowell) Seaver. Educated at Craftsbury Academy and Montpelier Seminary. In 1879 married Almeda Ewins of North Troy; they have two sons, Cleon William and Clive Gilman. Began business life as clerk in his father's store; for the past 35 years has been in the mercantile business for himself. Is a Democrat; chairman town committee; postmaster at North Troy under Cleveland's first administration; has been town treasurer four years. Is a Congregationalist. Past chancellor commander Trojan Lodge No. 20, K.P., and member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows."

A summary of this family was included in the book "The Berkshire, Vermont, Chaffees, and Their Dewscendants, 1801-1911" by Almer J. Elliot, Richford VT, 1911. It Reads:

"230. Almeda Alida9 Ewins, (Ruby Lucy8 Chaffee, Warren7, Comfort6, etc) b. Oct. 7, 1853, Berkshire, Vt; d. Oct. 16, 1911, in Scituate, Mass., where she was visiting, death following a shock suffered four days before; m. Jan. 16, 1879 in North Troy, Vt., by the Rev. George H. Parker, to Ezra Thomas Seaver, son of Gilman and Eliza (Rowell) Seaver, b. Jan. 12, 1858, Albany, Vt. Mr. Seaver was a merchant and real estate broker; resided in North Troy.

"Children, born in North Troy:

"637 i Cleon William(10) Seaver, b. July 18, 1886; a teacher in the Rochester, N.Y. Business Institute. "638 ii Olive Gilman Seaver, b. April 18, 1891; a student in the Univcersity of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia."
