The 1850 census has his name as Ezra J. Fassett. Norman Jackson says his name is Ezra E. Fassett in his obituary. Furthur comments from Norman Jackson: "Ezra was a professional caretaker for several estates in the Otsego Lake area during his lifetime. He died at the home of his son Lemuel. Funeral services with the Rev. Marvin of the Baptist Church officiating with burial in the Springfield Center Cemetery. During the first week of March 1906 Ezra would suffer the complete loss of his home on West Hill in Cooperstown due to a fire."
