Source:Leonard, Ermina Newton. Newton Genealogy says Ezekiel is "said by the descendants" to be a brother of Joseph, half-brother of Abraham, and s/o Thomas Knowlton and Margery Goodhue, who m. 2 Dec 1692 in Watertown. This is wrong as his birthdate makes him a child of the second wife Mary Coye, and half brother to both Joseph and Abraham.
Source:Crane, Ellery B. Historic Homes and Institutions and Genealogical and Personal Memoirs of Worcester County, Massachusetts, says Thomas Knowlton m. (no date specified) Margery Goodhue, but she d. 23 Aug 1698/99 and he m. (2) 1702 Margery Carter. Then it says Ezekiel was born 5 Mar 1707 to the 2nd wife. This is wrong, misinformed by errors of the incompetent Source:Stocking, Charles H. W. History and Genealogy of the Knowltons of England and America. No birth record for Ezekiel is found, and his age at death suggests Stocking's date is incorrect. There was only one wife Margery, not two as Stocking showed, and the second wife Mary was missed, but her marriage is found in Beverly in 1706, clearly making her Ezekiel's mother, and she is named in father Thomas' will and was his widow.
