"… Ezekiel Bull, b. probably in South Kingston, R. I., about 1671, d. in Newport, R. I., 7 Sept. 1727, son of Jireh Bull. Ezekiel Bull was a grandson of Henry Bull, one of the early Colonial Rhode Island governors. His father, Jireh, was the owner of the Bull Garrison House in South Kingston, famed for its destruction by the Narragansett Indians in 1675. In the possession of the Newport Historical Society is the water stained volume containing the record of Ezekiel Bull's will. He and his wife Elizabeth are buried in the old Common burial ground in Newport and the small slate markers are still legible."
