"1797 Nov. 14. Asahel Burbank, a minor under 14, son of John Burbank, a vagrant, by his late wife, Experience" was appointed guardian William Rice. 6 Sep 1807: Asahel, about 14, chose John Burbank of Brookfield as guardian "on account of the estate of his grandfather, Jacob Reed".
↑ ^3.0 ^3.1 The marriage to John Burbank in 1792 suggests Experience was born by 1774. She is mentioned as deceased in her father's probate file dated 11 Jun 1798. She might be the "Pendy" described by Reed as belonging to this family, since she only appears to have had the one child, so the dates he gives for Pendy seem likely.
