Clovis News-Journal January- December 1990 October 1, 1990 Everett Lovvorn Services for Everett (Bus) Lovvorn, 78, of Grady will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 2, at the First Baptist Church of Grady. The Rev. Paul Burwash will officiate. Burial will be at the Grady Cemetery. Lovvorn died Sunday, September 20, at Lubbock Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. He was born July 5, 1912. He had been a farmer in the Grady area since 1934 and married Mary Bell Doak in Fort Sumner in June 1934. He is survived by his wife, Mary Bell Lovvorn of Grady; three daughters, Barbara Corbin, Elaine Field, and Linda Asleson, all of the Dallas area; one sister, Grace Wagner of Eugene, Oregon; three brothers, Dale Harper of Houston, Mo., Melvin Harper of Dumas, Texas; and Leo Harper of Colorado Springs, Colo., six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Huey Harper in 1976 and Leon Harper in 1944; and one sister, Velma Robbins in 1972. Casket bears will be Greg Corbin, Glen Corbin, Kevin Walker, Warren Walker, Robbie Gooch and Monty Corbin. |
