Oswego Palladium-Times, 23 June 1935: RICHLAND MAN IS PINNED UNDER LOG Richland, July 23-- Everett Cook, 28, of Richland, was injured seriously Monday afternoon when a large log fell on him as he was helping to unload logs from one truck to another on the Florence Road, near Redfield. He was taken to the Rome hospital by the Camden American Legion ambulance. Dr. D.M. COOK Everett S. Cook, 67, of Whittemore RD, Town of Scriba, died Thursday in Oswego Hospital. He was the husband of Beatrice Neill Cook and a native of Massena. His parents were the late William and Sarah Hooper Cook. He was formerly employed at Nestle's Co., Inc., Fulton and only recently retired from the Morris Protective Agency. Survivors, besides his wife of Scriba, include a daughter, Elizabeth, also of Scriba; two sisters... a step-daughter, Mrs. Edna Orwick of York PA and a stepson, Edward Hilton of Volney. Services at Church of the Resurrection will take place... Monday morning, with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. References
