Eva Rose Kempson was born in 1909 at Luton in Bedfordshire, daughter of a straw hat finisher named Rose Kempson, formerly Muskett, and her husband Bertie Kempson, a straw hat blocker. Eva was the couple's only child. She appears with her parents in the 1911 census at 77 Cambridge Street in Luton.

Sadly, Eva died on 22nd March 1915, when she was just six years old.
