EVA NORA BARKER was born on September 23, 1865 in District 1, Logan County, Kentucky.

Eva was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

  8. Mrs. Eva Fitchpatrick

    Mrs. Eva Fitchpatrick, almost 82, died in the Lockwood hospital last Thursday afternoon. Although in poor health the past few years, she seemed as well as usual Tuesday evening at the supper table. That night she was taken ill and later moved to the hospital, where she passed away.

    Funeral services were conducted at the Phillips Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon, August 17 at 2:30 p.m., Rev. B. F. Holtzclaw conducting.

    The musical portion of the service was in charge of Kermit Finley, who furnished his own accompaniment.

    Pallbearers were Ben Carswell, James Darrow, Lee Rees, John Hall, Walter Clark and Ben Quade.

    Internment was in the IOOF Cemetery, the Phillips Funeral Home being in charge.

    Obituary

    Eva Nora Barker was born in Logan County, Kentucky, September 23, 1865 and departed this life August 15, 1947, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 22 days.

    She was married to James Thomas Fitchpatrick on February 8, 1888 at Stockton, Missouri.

    To this union was born five children, two of whom, Edith and Pearl preceded her in death 15 years ago. Those remaining to mourn her departure are one son Earl Fitchpatrick of Golden City; two daughters, Mrs. Rosa Rhoades of Nevada, Iowa, and Mrs. Jewell McGinnis of Maxwell, Iowa. Also fourteen grandchildren.

    Two sisters Mrs. Minnie Stagner and Mrs. Edna Fitchpatrick, both of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

    She was converted and joined the church early in life and lived a devoted Christian life unto death, reading her Bible daily and faithful in prayer. She was active in church work until failing health prevented her attending services.
