Aug. 17.—Eva J. Baker, wife of James Lamphier died in a Rome hospital early this morning after a long illness which necessitated her confinement in the hospital since last March. She was born in Winchester, Canada, May 17, 1907, daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. David Baker. She came to the United States in 1909 and was married to Mr. Lamphier June 19, 1926. She was a member of the Lee Center M. E. Church.
Surviving besides her husband and father are three children, Lester J., James H., and Richard E. Lamphier; four brothers, John, Russel and George Baker of Lee Center and James Baker of Lowell.
