Obituary Mrs. Arthur Clark Dies Mon. Morning

Mrs. Arthur Clark, who has been seriously ill at her home since April third of this year, died there Monday morning at 1:40. She had been in ill health for a long time and in April, was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage, which left her an invalid.

Eva Gladys Akey was born at Rudolph, Wis. March 4, 1892 to John and Cora Herrick Akey. She was married to Arthur Clark in September 21, 1912 at Bessemer, Michigan and the couple have lived in this vicinity with their family since Sept. 1, 1919.

Besisdes her husband, six children survive--Mrs. Harvey Tyrrell, Mrs. Frank Newman, Mrs, James Nelson, Archie and Robert Clark, Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. Thomas Lund, Pray; also 17 grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. James Sowers, Antigo, Mrs. Albin Kujawa and Mrs. Rudolph Maggy, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Frank Gentz, Blackwell.

Mrs. Clark was a member of Circle 5, Women's Society of Christian Service, of the Methodist church and was also very active in Parent-Teachers work at the Boulevard school.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Clark home, where the body was taken from the Beste funeral home Monday evening, by the Rev. E. T. De Selms, at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, and at the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Mosinee cemetery.

Pall bearers were Charles Brys, Bogue Burnett, Orville Lowden, John Robbins, Richard Fontaine and Felix Michal.

Wealthy Eva OverturfWealthy Eva Clark Tyrrell Douglas Overturf, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Harmony Living Center, Stoughton.Wealthy was born on Dec. 28, 1912, at a logging camp in Winchester. She was the daughter of Eva Akey and Arthur T. Clark. As a child, she lived in Rudolph and Mosinee with her sisters, Gladys, Audrey, Janet, Joyce, Clara; and her brothers, Archie, Robert and Keith. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church of Mosinee. She graduated from the Boulevard Elementary School, Mosinee High School, Lincoln County College, and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She taught school for 39 years, ending her career in Biron.She enjoyed spending time with nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as children in her community, school, Sunday school, bell choirs and various charity settings. She was active in many Masonic orders: Eastern Star, White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile and Amaranth. She participated in the church circle, Retired Teachers Organization, Business and Professional Women and Delta Kappa Gamma.Weatlhy was the loving wife of Harvey Tyrrell, Marion Douglas and Kenneth Overturf. She was the devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Brad and Maureen Tyrrell Hubing, Helen (Robert) Tyrrell Hoffmann, Vernon Tyrrell, Steve and Barb Hubing (Becca and Katie), Todd and Nancy Hubing (Lindsey and Garrett), Timm Hubing, Troy and Heidi Hubing (Alex, Casey, and Elizabeth), Cari Hoffmann Stauffacher (Kyle), Kristin Hoffmann Guerra, Jeff and Tammy Hubing Turner (Jacob), and Fred and Kaye Hoffmann DeMartino (Paul, Sierra and Sydney). She was delighted and honored that her circle of loving family members included the families of Ben and Joyce Douglas, Scott and Lorraine Douglas, Jack and Jeanine Douglas Robertson, Keith and Marge Overturf, Kent Overturf, Kurt and Julie Overturf, Don and Karen Overturf Gass, Rich and Kay Overturf Van de Loo, Bob and Kim Overturf Hall, Jeff and LoryBeth Green (Jade) and Jeff and Jenni Seisser (Tyler).A visitation and funeral service will be held at the United Methodist Church, 441 Garfield St., Wisconsin Rapids, Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall.
