[p. 2:] Eunice the daughter of Luke Potter was born the 2o. (1o.) 1640.
[p. 5:] Vnice daughter of luke & Mary Potter, the (2) of the (2th) mo: 1641:
[Note: In old-styles dates, the second month is April. More info may be found here.]
[Note: It appears the record on p. 5 was recorded after the fact, when children of Luke's second wife were recorded, while the copy on p. 2 is recorded with Rebecca who was born and died in 1643, so somewhat closer to the event. The first month is March and the second month is April, and based on the two records, it is presumed her birth is 2 Mar 1640/41. Source:Potter, Charles Edward. Genealogies of Some Old Families of Concord, Mass, p. 13, treats these two records as two separate children, the first proverbially dying young, but that seems unlikely based on the way they are recorded, one with Rebecca as the children of the first wife, and the other with the children of the second wife. At the time of Rebecca's birth, both Eunices, if there had been two, would have been known about, and either both or the surviving one would have been recorded, not the one who died young. Therefore, it appears both records refer to the same daughter named Eunice, but one is misrecorded.]
