Note: John Emmet Todd gives the marriage date as 25 Dec 1873. Vernita Pepper gives alternate wedding date of 28 dec 1873 for John's marriage to Eunice and states that the marriage was performed by J. D. Wyckoff (also of New Jersey). CLIPPINGS FROM THE STERLING BULLETIN, from Price Dilley book, pages 76-93, Eunice Dilley was born in Mercer Co., Pa., the 6th day of August 1839. She moved to Roseville, Ill., with her parents in 1841, where she resided until her marriage with John J. Rodenbough, Dec. 25, 1873. She then moved with her husband to Macedonia, Iowa, where she resided until after his death in 1906, since which time she has lived around with her relatives. She was converted early in life and joined the Congregational Church and has lived a consistent Christian life. She leaves a son and a daughter, two brothers, and a host of friends to mourn her death. Mrs. Rodenbough's death occurred last Friday and Rev. Williams pastor of the Congregational Church conducted funeral services the following afternoon. The deceased was in her 73rd year. |
