Where did Eugenia Polo Garcia disappear to after the birth of her daughter in 1919? Ray was born in Spain, but his younger sister was born in California. I am ASSUMING that Eugenia Polo, mother of Raymond, was also the mother of Eugenia Garcia. Did she go back to Spain for a while? She is not on the 1930 census. She is in a 1935 directory. Her husband is listed as a widower in 1940 census. She keeps disappearing and reappearing in records. There IS more than one couple in California at the same time named Manuel and Eugenia Garcia so this gets confusing. Manuel Garcia and children Raymond and Eugenia are in the Oakland/San Francisco BAY area. Manuel Garcia and Eugenia Garcia with Gloria, Delores, Virginia, and Olivia are in the LOS ANGELES area.
