ETHEL H HAWKINS (1914-2003) The following obit for Ethel appeared in the 12-9-2003 Winchester Star:

Ethel H. Hawkins, 89, of Ranson, W.Va., died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, in Blue Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, Charles Town, W.Va.

Mrs. Hawkins was born Oct. 5, 1914, in Petersburg, the daughter of Dennis and Mary Elizabeth Bishop Holt. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was married to Donald Hawkins, who died Oct. 9, 1999. A son, Donald E. Hawkins, also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, John D. Hawkins of Charles Town and Henry A. Hawkins of Ranson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town, with the Rev. Wyman Hall officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Council of Aging, 103 W. Fifth Ave., Ranson, W.Va., 25438.
