Ethel E. Truex Jan. 26, 1920-Mar. 11, 2011 Ethel E. Truex, 91, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at 3:06 PM in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana. Mrs. Truex was born January 26, 1920 in Silver Lake, Indiana to John Wesley and Alice Luella (Ervin) Engle. She and Harold "Sonny" Truex were married September 24, 1938 in Warsaw sharing 65 years of marriage until his death on March 4, 2004. A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she retired from Crystal Lake Egg Products in 1985 after 15 years of service. A homemaker, she liked to sew, work in her garden and go to garage sales. She was a member of New Beginnings Community Church in Atwood, Indiana. Left with memories to treasure are 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law: Betty and Don Hedington of Atwood; Dianna and Larry Heisler, Mentone, Indiana; Peggy and Bob Wanemacher of Bourbon, Indiana; and Doris Truex of Overland Park, Kansas; 8 grandchildren: Sara Koser, Kenny Hedington, Randy Heisler, Steve Mellott, Jeff Mellott, Cindy Paredes, Ashley Adorante and Whitney Perez; 17 great grandchildren; and 7 great, great grandchildren; a sister, Joann Garee of Columbia City, Indiana and a brother, Wilbur Engle of Upton, Wyoming. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Truex was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Dorothy Evans (October 5, 1997), Betty Hoppus (October 6, 2008) and Eva Tripp (March 23, 2009); 3 brothers: Glen Engle, Charles Engle (January 24, 2003) and Johnny Engle. Family and friends will gather to share memories at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, Friday, March 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mrs. Ethel E. Truex's life will be celebrated Saturday March 19, 2011 beginning at 10 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Denny Bollenbacher will officiate. Burial will follow in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood. The family has asked that memorial contributions be given to a charity of choice or that simple acts of kindness be done for others.
