About Ethel May Elkins Moore by her neighbor and friend Viola Harden Shelton

It was my privelege to be a neighbor to Ethel Elkins Moore, a daughter of Thomas and Jennie Bilderback Elkins. She was a kind person and neighbor indeed. One who always visited the sick and those in trouble, always dividing her delicasies and her early garden vegetables, and always when you see Miss Ethel, was that friendly smile that she wore for all down through the years that she lived. In the year of 1903, she married Samuel George Moore. To this union were nine fine children born, all married and have fine families of their own. My best description of Miss Ethel is Proverbs, 31st Chapter: "Her children rise up and call her blessed and her husband too called her blessed." What more could I say? She departed this life on 14 June 1934, her going was very sudden and many friends and loved ones mourn her loss. Truly a very dear friend.
