(son of John Wesley Nix ) Nix, Robert Emmett, 69, Altoona, died yesterday at 9:07 p.m. in a local hospital after an extended illness. Survivors; are his wife, mrs Effie McWaters Nix, sister; Mrs. Lyle Gullion, Elba. Several nieces and nephews. Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at 2nd Baptist Church Altoona with the Rev. J.D. Brown and David Helona Officiating. Burial in Altoona/Walnut Grove Cemetery. Active Pallbearers; Bobby Nichols, Sammy Nichols, Mike Nichols, Randy Kent, Coswell McWalters, and Dale Foshe. Mr Nix was a natiave and resident of Etowah County most of his life. He was a member of 2nd Baptist Church of Altoona and a retired house painter. The body will remain at the residence and lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services. |
