Esta first married Nicholas Lewis Armentrout on May 5, 1802, in Rockingham Co., VA. After his death in 1828, she remarried on Aug. 26, 1830, to John Weller. So far, her death date and burial location are unknown. Esta and Nicholas had seven children: Mary Armentrout Long, Joseph A. "Jake", Thomas Hamilton, David Aaron, Elizabeth Armentrout Rhodes, Diana (never married) and Priscilla Armentrout Sellers. Several contributors to sites such as ancestry.com list eight children, with the addition of Johannes, born in the same year as Thomas Hamilton.
Although the genealogy study written by Russell S. Armentrout lists her birth in about 1775, there are at least two census records which list her birth in about 1785. She and John Weller appear in the 1850 and 1860 U.S. Census in Rockingham County, VA, with her age listed as 65 and 75, respectively. A large number of contributors to ancestry.com list a birth date of 25 Oct 1782, however the vast majority of these contributed records do not list a single verifiable source for this date.
